Harvey Skoog for Prescott Valley Mayor

Prescott Valley Today

January 2013

Prescott Valley has been solid on every front

  • The town’s financial condition is solid and shows an upward trend even after five years of sluggish national economy. The trend supports an expectation that our local economic growth is outpacing the general economy of the nation.

  • Our Crime rate is one of the lowest in Arizona for cities and towns in our size range.

  • Our roads and streets have become much safer with a 30% decrease in injury accidents.

  • Shopping, entertainment, hospitality, recreation, and medical services have expanded to meet the needs of the community and have provided jobs for our families.

  • Our local hospital is a modern up-to-date facility and has been augmented to include a birthing center, breast care center, and an expanded emergency room.

  • The local Rehabilitation Hospital continues to be ranked in the nation’s top 10%, which further exemplifies the quality of Prescott Valley’s medical services.

  • Town staff is stable and employee morale is good with a nearly unheard-of employee retention rate of about 94%.

  • Our goal of family enjoyment is being achieved. The town’s 27 parks offer swimming, fishing, gold panning, children’s playgrounds, ball fields, picnic areas, and more. Family enjoyment opportunities in Prescott Valley are quite abundant.
